“Which Sway” Competition Launched

Yes my pretties, it’s true. Our next competition is a blinder. What happens when you mix cotton and rock? Whilst the more logical amongst you may suggest the new musical genre, "Cotton Rock", the more inquisitive amongst you may care to look here.

“Which Sway” Competition

To celebrate the union of two of Australia’s hottest cultural icons (see Swayback entry in News) we are offering a double whammy of prizes in our latest competition, "Which Sway".

Shirticus is posing the question, "Which way to rock & roll?" by giving away one of its ever popular "Which Way" shirts. And who better to answer such a question than one of the hottest Australian rock acts, Swayback who will be giving away a copy of their brilliant rock masterpiece "The Quest For Rock & Roll" (out now on Half a Cow Records) in reply.

How does one win such a delicious cd/shirt deluxe prize combo package deal thing? By answering one of our notoriously simple questions. Riddle me this funsters:

What is the name of the 5th track on Swayback’s "The Quest for Rock & Roll" ?

I have been informed that I am not allowed to tell you to look on the Swayback website for the answer. So you didn’t hear it from me.

Send your answer to competitions at shirticus.com.

We’ll close this one a little sooner so we can get your prizes out to you before xmas. The comp will close on Wednesday 13th December at Half Past Midnight (starring Steven Seagull) and the prize will be drawn on the 15th of December. We care so much it hurts sometimes.

The Winning Ham Is…….

Well stick a popsicle in my mouth and call me roger, this competition was hams down (sorry) our most popular ever with over 500 entries! I firstly say thanks for everyone who entered and then I sarcastically say "thanks" to everyone who entered and made us spend more than an hour sorting through entries and drawing the competition.

Just before I announce the winner, I’d like to point out that the official answer was "Hot Latino Pool Bot" rather than your bog standard "Robot". Don’t worry, I counted both as valid, but I did have a perverse desire to see hundreds of emails with the term "Hot Latino Pool Bot" in them. They sit nicely against all the viagra and penis enlargement spam we get.

So without any further blabbering I present to you the winner of the competition, the very hamalicious Carolyn Walters! We will be in contact with you shortly Carolyn with details of how you can claim your prize.

For everyone else, thanks so much for entering and for some of the fun answers we received. Keep your eyes out for our next big competition, details of which shall be posted shirtly (there I go again).

Shirticus Rocks Swayback With Sponsorship Deal

In a move that industry pundits have termed “culturally significant”, Shirticus earlier this week finalised a sponsorship deal with Australian rock band, Swayback. The financial details of the deal are as yet undisclosed, but a source close to the band has said, “I have seen a lot of zeros” and the term “Nike-esque” has been used by leading analysts.

The deal will see Swayback and Shirticus run a series of cross promotional campaigns to publicise the bands latest musical offering, "The Quest for Rock & Roll" (on Half A Cow Records), and the clothing label’s new summer range.

The madness begins this weekend when the Swayback, the sultans of swagger rock, launch their "Quest for the West" tour in Perth on Saturday the 25th November. Swayback will be playing with New Zealand rock legends, The Datsuns as well a host of wonderful local talent. Check out tour details on the Swayback website.

Keep your eyes peeled (horrible expression when you think about it) for a new competition announced at the end of this week to celebrate this trans Australian union.

Previous Shirt of the Moment

 Don’t

Pre-empting stupidity since 1958. Why wait for it to happen? You know it’s going to sooner rather than later. It can happen in the workplace, it can happen at the shops, it can happen in the home, it could be happening right now. Like a lion braiding a zebras mane it awaits for the right moment to strike.

The blind acts of the stupid have laid a curse upon decent folk like your good self for far too long. Make a stand and walk proudly through the fog of dumbness that surrounds you. Look them in the face, gently roll your eyes downwards and say, “Talk to the shirt moron”.

Check it out now in the Shirticus Online Store.

Shirticus Launches New Summer Catalogue

You can finally breathe out - the wonderful new Shirticus summer range has officially arrived. With nine of its best selling shirt designs from its online store, seven brand spankin’ new designs, five shirt styles and thirteen colour choices, this catalogue is the shiznit in the t-shirt biznit (excuse the lame L.A. street talk).

The full Shirticus Summer Catalogue range will be available in all good clothing stores across Australia - from Perth to Byron Bay. If your favourite store isn’t stocking the hottest thing since the Sun then tell them to get their act together and order in some Shirticus action before their cool’o’meter drops below zero. We’ll be bringing some of the new designs into the online Shirticus Store over the next month. Watch out for a Xmas sale as we move some of our older stock to make way for the new designs.

Check out the new range in The Shirtalogue.
