Swayback and Shirticus Team Up Again

The Australian rock legends, Swayback, are playing up this month with a string of Adelaide shows in their "March for Rock & Roll"! Kicking off with the first of their five monthly residency shows at the Grace Emily Hotel Friday 2nd March, the band will also be supporting legendary US soul/funk/rock powerhouse, The BellRays, Wednesday 7th March at Fowlers Live.

So, every Friday in March, Swayback will be laying down a set of their finest hard-edged ’swagger’ rock at the Grace Emily, plus handing out discount vouchers and shirts from yours truly (for the slower amongst you that means us, Shirticus) as well as give aways from their own stylish merch collection. So, get your stompin’ boots on and join Swayback’s March for rock & roll!!! For gig details check out the Swayback website.

Shirticus Celebrates The Year of the Golden Pig

Yes my friends, we have now officially entered a new year according to the Chinese calendar. But this is no normal year, no siree. This is The Year of the Golden Pig! This occasion only comes around once every 600 years according to some Chinese fortunetellers and while they may be minimal in number we have immediately aligned ourselves with them in an attempt to squeeze out yet another sneaky bit of marketing.

In all it’s wondrous benevolence and deep respect for the Chinese Zodiac, Shirticus is offering a discount on it’s "One Ham Clapping" shirt. So if you are a pig (zodiacally speaking of course) or just a pig sympathiser then this shirt is for you. Now how can you pass up an offer that only comes around once every 600 years!

Check it out here.

Log On? Log Off!

Our favourite Shirticus customer, Redmond B, finally met his nemesis in his quest to Log Off. The Log-On store in Hong Kong  stood no chance against the unstoppable force of Redmond in his Shirticus shirt, standing out the front, warning customers of the potential dangers of Logging On.

Redmond we salute you!

LogOff From 2006 Sale

For the month of January, Shirticus is offering a 20% discount off it’s popular LogOff shirts. Now you can finally pull the plug on 2006 and stare right down the barrel of 2007 screaming, "Bring it on sister!".

Get in quick as sale stock is limited.

This Sway To The Winners Circle

Well colour me pink and call me Shirley, just when I thought we had hit new heights with our last competition, along comes Swayback and tips this months competition over the 600 entry mark! Our poor little fingers hurt from sorting the entries yet we soldiered on.

So who was the lucky person to be able to enjoy the awesome rawk n rawl of Swayback whilst wearing one of the coolest t-shirts around this Christmas? Why it’s the very rockalicious Sharon Beerman. Congrats Sharon, you have a Swayback cd and a "Which Way" shirt coming at you.

To everyone else who entered we say a huge thanks and we hope you all managed to have a listen to the rock goodness that is Swayback. You’ll certainly be hearing a lot more of these guys on your airwaves over the next year. We’re proud to have them on board the good ship Shirticus - onya guys.

Shirticus competition madness will start up again in January 2007 and we should have a few extras in store for you as well. Until then though, we wish you a fantastic Christmas and thank you for all your support during the year.

Shirticus Krazy Kristmas Sale!

Yes my friends it’s time for the first ever Shirticus Krazy Kristmas Sale. Like a small, pantless, orange Santa, Shirticus is in a giving mood (and he wants to move some stock so he can make way for some of the Summer Catalogue designs and styles into the online store!)

What better present could there be than an original Shirticus for that special someone or perhaps someone "special"? And just think you can shop without leaving your chair (in the interests of general health, Shirticus recommends leaving your chair at least once a week). Now there’s no need to play that game of  "dodge the moron" at your local shopping centre.

To "grease the Christmas wheel" Shirticus is offering discounts on all shirts in our online store with up to 25% off selected designs. Add to that  free Australian shipping and discounted international shipping and you have yourself a no-brainer. The sale is a definite, "while stocks last", "limited time only", "pants to the breeze" kind of thing. So get in quick and make yourself the most popular person this Christmas.

And you thought Santa was cool!

“Which Sway” Competition Launched

Yes my pretties, it’s true. Our next competition is a blinder. What happens when you mix cotton and rock? Whilst the more logical amongst you may suggest the new musical genre, "Cotton Rock", the more inquisitive amongst you may care to look here.

The Winning Ham Is…….

Well stick a popsicle in my mouth and call me roger, this competition was hams down (sorry) our most popular ever with over 500 entries! I firstly say thanks for everyone who entered and then I sarcastically say "thanks" to everyone who entered and made us spend more than an hour sorting through entries and drawing the competition.

Just before I announce the winner, I’d like to point out that the official answer was "Hot Latino Pool Bot" rather than your bog standard "Robot". Don’t worry, I counted both as valid, but I did have a perverse desire to see hundreds of emails with the term "Hot Latino Pool Bot" in them. They sit nicely against all the viagra and penis enlargement spam we get.

So without any further blabbering I present to you the winner of the competition, the very hamalicious Carolyn Walters! We will be in contact with you shortly Carolyn with details of how you can claim your prize.

For everyone else, thanks so much for entering and for some of the fun answers we received. Keep your eyes out for our next big competition, details of which shall be posted shirtly (there I go again).

Shirticus Rocks Swayback With Sponsorship Deal

In a move that industry pundits have termed “culturally significant”, Shirticus earlier this week finalised a sponsorship deal with Australian rock band, Swayback. The financial details of the deal are as yet undisclosed, but a source close to the band has said, “I have seen a lot of zeros” and the term “Nike-esque” has been used by leading analysts.

The deal will see Swayback and Shirticus run a series of cross promotional campaigns to publicise the bands latest musical offering, "The Quest for Rock & Roll" (on Half A Cow Records), and the clothing label’s new summer range.

The madness begins this weekend when the Swayback, the sultans of swagger rock, launch their "Quest for the West" tour in Perth on Saturday the 25th November. Swayback will be playing with New Zealand rock legends, The Datsuns as well a host of wonderful local talent. Check out tour details on the Swayback website.

Keep your eyes peeled (horrible expression when you think about it) for a new competition announced at the end of this week to celebrate this trans Australian union.

Shirticus Launches New Summer Catalogue

You can finally breathe out - the wonderful new Shirticus summer range has officially arrived. With nine of its best selling shirt designs from its online store, seven brand spankin’ new designs, five shirt styles and thirteen colour choices, this catalogue is the shiznit in the t-shirt biznit (excuse the lame L.A. street talk).

The full Shirticus Summer Catalogue range will be available in all good clothing stores across Australia - from Perth to Byron Bay. If your favourite store isn’t stocking the hottest thing since the Sun then tell them to get their act together and order in some Shirticus action before their cool’o’meter drops below zero. We’ll be bringing some of the new designs into the online Shirticus Store over the next month. Watch out for a Xmas sale as we move some of our older stock to make way for the new designs.

Check out the new range in The Shirtalogue.
